Roofing Inspection Summary
During the evaluation of this roof, we determined that the roof was in poor condition and that roof coatings would extend the life of the existing metal roof. The roof inspection was of a metal roof 280,000 sq ft. It turned out to be a massive roofing job.

Additional information about this roofing job:
APW Wyott, Inc. contracted NENES, Inc. to repair and restore their large metal roof. APW Wyott, a manufacturing company, located in Cheyenne, WY, is no longer in operation.
Any metal roof restoration starts with power washing the metal roof and removing all rust. Next, we apply roofing primer to all the roof panels and seams. This process is known as adding a "base coat." If the rust is really bad, like on this roofing job, we will replace some of the roof panels to help repair the metal roof and bring it back to a structurally sound roof.
Next, we apply a "topcoat" and spray the entire roof with our roofing coating, making this a complete metal roof coating system.
We saved them so much money on the roof restoration instead of replacing the roof; they asked to join our roof maintenance program. Our contracting crew worked on this metal roof and the APW building from 1996 to 2006 (through our roof maintenance program). We saved the company money on a new roof and provided exceptional roof maintenance and care for over a decade. Every year we did a complete roof inspection, we looked for problems to fix, leaks, anything at all – we take care of it through the roof maintenance program. In some cases, like this one, you may find problems after fixing a roof. These problems, we found out later, were caused because of the type of work done in the manufacturing processes at their facility. The operations at the facility caused the roof to rust quickly. Our maintenance prevention allowed us to take care of any problems and get the roof back up to roof specs so the roof can stay underneath the roofing warranty program.
You can read about it on our referral page. We received a letter of recommendation from their V. P. of Operations and Plant Superintendent to save them from spending 1.3 million on a new roof. The cost for us to restore the roof was approximately a third of the cost to do a brand-new roof.We recommend a Commercial Roofing inspection annually for Commercial Roof Coatings systems. The cost for regular maintenance is far less than the cost of a full commercial roof replacement.
